Cookies & Credits
Last updated: 2026-05-08
We keep a clean line: no tracking cookies, no advertising, no profiling, no analytics that identify individuals. This page explains what we actually store in your browser and credits the image sources we use.
1. Which cookies we use
The site uses the standard classification from the Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines: technical cookies (always active, no consent required) and third-party analytics cookies (loaded only after you click "Accept" on the banner). No advertising or profiling cookies.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
ade_consent | Stores your choice (Accept / Essential only) on the cookie banner, so it isn't shown on every visit. | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
_ga | Google Analytics 4 — distinguishes visitors statistically (anonymous ID). | 2 years | Analytics (consent required) |
_ga_SQ08CP7ZHF | Google Analytics 4 — maintains visitor session state. | 2 years | Analytics (consent required) |
The ade_consent cookie is strictly necessary
to deliver the requested service (remembering your choice) and therefore
does not require prior consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy
Directive 2002/58/EC and Italian Privacy Code Art. 122.
The _ga and _ga_SQ08CP7ZHF Google Analytics
cookies are loaded only if you click "Accept" on the
banner; clicking "Essential only" prevents them from being installed
and Google receives no data about your visit.
Reset your choice: you can clear the saved preference
and see the banner again by clicking
,
or by deleting the ade_consent cookie from your browser
settings.
2. Browser storage
We don't use localStorage or sessionStorage.
Your browser keeps nothing of our site between visits, beyond the
normal HTTP cache for static assets (images, CSS, fonts), which is a
browser feature and not tracking on our side.
3. Traffic analytics
We use two distinct analytics tools with different legal bases:
3.1 Vercel Web Analytics + Speed Insights (cookieless, always active)
Measure aggregate traffic and technical performance metrics (Core Web Vitals). They're cookieless: no cookies in your browser. The visitor identifier is an anonymous hash with a daily rotating salt, not linkable to a natural person. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
3.2 Google Analytics 4 (consent required)
Loaded only if you consent from the cookie banner. Provides more detailed user-behavior analysis (sequential pageviews, events, conversions). Our configuration applies:
- IP anonymization: IP is truncated before storage
- Google Signals off: no cross-device tracking
- Ad personalization off: data is not used for ads
- 14-month retention (set in Google Analytics dashboard)
Legal basis: consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), revocable at
any time (see section 1, "Reset your choice"). Measurement ID:
G-SQ08CP7ZHF.
Full processing details, US transfers and your rights in our Privacy Policy section 2.5.
4. Third-party services loaded by your browser
Some external services are loaded by your browser when you visit the site. They may collect minimal technical information (IP, user agent) for their own operation, under their respective policies:
- Anthropic (privacy.anthropic.com) — receives the messages you send to the AI chat only if you use it. See Privacy Policy section 2.2.
- Vercel (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy) — site hosting and CDN. See Privacy Policy section 2.4.
- Google (Analytics 4) (policies.google.com/privacy) — loaded only after your consent on the cookie banner. See section 3.2 above.
- WhatsApp (whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy) — only if you decide to click a "Message on WhatsApp" link: the WhatsApp app or web client opens, and from that point your data is processed under Meta's terms.
Self-hosted fonts: unlike many websites, we do not load typefaces from Google Fonts. The typefaces (DM Serif Display, Mulish, JetBrains Mono) are served directly from our own server using the @fontsource package. This eliminates the transfer of your IP address to Google servers in the United States — a historically sensitive point under GDPR (Schrems II ruling).
