Private charter
The boat just for you, and the route is yours to choose.
U Cammellu N'Ammuratu can be chartered exclusively, with Salvo at the helm. No other guests aboard: you decide together where to go, how long to stop, what time to head back. It's the format for families, for an anniversary, or simply for those who prefer their own rhythm to a group's.
When it makes sense
A private charter is the same boat and the same captain as the group outings — but with nobody else aboard. Only one thing changes, and it’s the one that matters: the time is yours.
It makes sense when:
- You’re a family or a group of friends already complete, and you’d rather keep to yourselves
- There’s an occasion — a birthday, an anniversary, a honeymoon
- You have small children and want to set the hours and the length without depending on others
- You want a particular route that doesn’t fit the standard days
- You simply prefer your own rhythm: a later start, three hours in one cove, heading back when you feel like it
How it works
We leave from Marina Corta, as always. The route is decided together — beforehand, or even that same morning looking at the sea: Salvo suggests based on wind, swell, and what you’d like to see.
You can take a half day or a full day, with the same swim stops, the same onboard aperitivo and the same storytelling — only, without sharing the boat with anyone.
Capacity: up to 12 guests, plus the crew.
Pricing
A charter is quoted per boat, not per person, so the more of you there are the better it works out. The quote depends on length, route and season: write to Salvo with your dates and group size and he’ll put one together.
One day we rented a boat just for ourselves. That day he was the captain himself: always attentive, explaining everything we were seeing.

There's no minute-by-minute programme to keep. There's the sea, the route, and time to stop wherever it's worth stopping.

We cast off from Marina Corta
We meet in Lipari's old harbour. We head out and make for the first cove.

The first swim
First stop in a cove you can only reach from the sea. Engine off, everyone in the water.

Around the islands, with more stops
We carry on along the coast, stopping wherever the water and the wind deserve it. More swims, more snorkeling.

Salvo's aperitivo
On board Salvo serves the aperitivo with Aeolian specialities: homemade arancini, pizza, spritz and prosecco. Always something different — and served in real glassware, which out at sea is no small thing.

The stories of the place
As we sail, Salvo talks: the places, the anecdotes, what the guidebooks leave out. He was born here, and it shows.

Lunch ashore, your way
We dock on the island and from there it's your call: where to eat, what to see, how far to walk. If you want a tip Salvo is glad to give one — he knows everybody — but it's only a suggestion: go wherever you like, and nobody asks you anything.

Back on board
After the break we cast off again and take to the sea, with more stops for swimming.

The way home, with music
We head back to Lipari without rushing. Music, conversation, a farewell toast with Malvasia and sesamini. There are few of us on board, and by the end of the day people usually aren't strangers any more.
